PETICOLAS BREWING COMPANY BREWS EXCLUSIVE BEER TO BENEFIT NORTH TEXAS NONPROFIT
HIPster Ale to benefit for-cause organization, My Possibilities
PLANO, TX – JUNE, 18, 2019 – My Possibilities (MP), a for-cause organization that provides continuing education and vocational training for adults with disabilities, announced longtime community partner, Peticolas Brewing Company, has created HIPster Ale, a one-of-a-kind beer to benefit My Possibilities.

My Possibilities and Peticolas began their partnership in 2016 with a private dinner at the brewery and a very special art project. A handful of My Possibilities’ students or HIPsters, Hugely Important People, were shown an image of a glass of Velvet Hammer, a Peticolas beer, and asked to paint what they saw. The result is a stunning collage hanging in the Peticolas taproom. The piece reflects HIPsters’ creativity, vision and talent.
Over the years, Peticolas has generously provided beer for various MP events and recently, named My Possibilities the beneficiary of the Velvet Hammer 5K. “Our partnership has rapidly grown over the years and now, we’re debuting HIPster Ale,” said Michael Thomas, My Possibilities executive director. “This is a really exciting time for us. People all over the metroplex will have an opportunity to be a part of MP.” Thomas announced HIPster Ale at the organization’s Annual Community Ball sharing details of the partnership, “this isn’t a 5 percent of sales give back, 50% of all the profits from sales will benefit My Possibilities.”
“We’re proud to partner with My Possibilities. We’re constantly looking for ways to remain engaged in the great work they’re doing and, HIPster Ale is one of the solutions,” said Michael Finley, Peticolas Marketing & Events Manager.
HIPster Ale is a 5.6% blonde ale that presents as a classic ‘light beer’ – straw like color beneath a clean white head of foam. And easy drinking is the name of the game for this one. Lemondrop and Cascade hops play a unique background role in both flavor and aroma – present, but intentionally less noticeable. The effervescence brings a refreshing character to the beer and balances out an ever so slight bready finish. You may think it, but rest assured, you are not drinking macro beer. 
HIPster Ale launches July 19 in the Peticolas taproom, and available in taprooms, restaurants and breweries all over North Texas starting in August.
