Not just another Corona Virus post

    By Adrienne Mageors | MP Blog | 0 comment | 23 March, 2020 | 1

In the midst of an unending stream of worrying news regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, there is good news to report to our HIPster families and supporters during this challenging time. While My Possibilities remains closed in accordance with state and federal guidance, we’ve once again been witness to an amazing amount care and support from you, our HIPster Heroes – the same care and support that has helped My Possibilities grow into the state-of-the-art vocational education program for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities in North Texas, currently serving 480 HIPsters and poised for more growth.

Although our campus is closed and activities postponed, it is important that we maintain our facilities and programs so that when this crisis resolves, our HIPsters can quickly return to campus to build the life they deserve through socialization opportunities and through vocational, trade, and independent living training. Here’s some good news: we’ve seen incredible support from our community — thank  you for sticking with us as we navigate through this time. There is still more work to do and we need your help to fill the $300,000 gap created from this closure.

Here’s how you can help MP from the comfort of your couch (to maintain social distancing, of course!):

    • Make a donation to My Possibilities
    • Encourage your friends and family members to consider donating to MP as well
    • Share your advocacy on social media
    • Share this link: mypossibilities.org/donate

As the events of COVID-19 continue to unfold, thank you for keeping our HIPsters’ needs at the forefront of your thoughts during this pandemic. Together, we are #HIPsterStrong.
