When it comes to Career Services, we offer diversified pathways designed to help adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) pursue interests in employment through vocational education, our contract with the Texas Workforce Commission, work experience, and long-term job coaching support. We offer one-on-one employment services for Hugely Important People (HIPsters) and clients with IDD. These services are individualized and focus on preparing for, securing, and maintaining employment for adults with a variety of disabilities and other barriers to employment. Our knowledgeable and professional staff provide job development, training, and job coaching to help each individual achieve their employment goals. In addition to having a UNT Wise credentialed staff, we also work with the Texas Workforce Commission to support individuals who come to us from HCS, TWC, and the community. We work as partners with both clients and employers to support successful employment outcomes.

In addition, we offer real-world training programs for adults with IDD to learn transferable job skills. Employers will then have the opportunity to hire any participant from the training program. Once hired, our clients become your company’s employees, subject to the same policies and procedures as all employees.
