BERRY FAMILY SERVICES PRESENTS MY POSSIBILITIES ANNUAL COMMUNITY BALL JUNE 15
Join Plano-based nonprofit for a 1950’s-themed night of celebrations in the Intellectual and
Developmental Disabilities community.
PLANO, TX – May 23, 2019 – On Saturday, June 15, approximately 1,200 Dallas Fort Worth area residents will gather alongside adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) to celebrate more than a decade of My Possibilities (MP), a Plano-based, for-cause organization designed to provide adults with IDD the opportunity to continue their education.
MP provides programs that focus on socialization, vocational and trade training, and independent living skills to Hugely Important People (HIPsters.) These skills equip HIPsters with the knowledge and confidence needed to achieve the life they deserve. My Possibilities’ mission is to courageously and relentlessly pursue the full untapped possibilities of these Hugely Important People, making every day count.
MP is proud to announce Berry Family Services as the Community Ball Presenting Sponsor. This annual gala raises funds for various programs at MP. The Community Ball remains a collaboration between MP and several North Texas organizations, families and individuals in support of continuing education and vocational training for adults with IDD. On June 15, the fifties-attire optional event will take place at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco Hotel Convention Center and Spa.
This year, the Community Ball is rockin’ a 1950’s theme to transport guests back in time. The event begins at 6 p.m. with a red-carpet entrance for all HIPsters and ends at 10 p.m. Dance the night away with HIPsters with live music provided by Manhattan Sound. The programming and resources they offer create an impact in the lives of all HIPsters. We are proud to serve as the presenting sponsor for Community Ball.”

Additional notable sponsors include Hall of Flames sponsor Plano Magazine, Cutting Edge Pediatric and Adult Therapy, GCATS Investments, LLC, and many more. Continued support from numerous North Texas organizations displays a great commitment toward educational programming for adults with IDD.
“The community support for this event is unlike any other,” said Michael Thomas executive director of My Possibilities. “I want to personally thank everyone who contributes their time, talent, and treasures to ensuring Community Ball is a continued success and a night of celebrations for our HIPsters,” Thomas added. “With your support, MP continues to grow and expand in the programming and resources we offer that truly make an impact in the lives of North Texans.”
